Principal's Message

Dear Montera School Family,

It has been a distinct honor and privilege to serve as your Principal during the 2025–2026 school year. I am incredibly proud of the collective effort, heart, and commitment shown by our students, staff, teachers, and parents in supporting our Eagles academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the year.

At Montera School, student success and well-being is at the center of everything we do. Our Eagles engaged in rigorous learning experiences, demonstrated meaningful academic growth, and continued to develop positive character and leadership skills. As a PBIS school, our students consistently showed what it means to be Safe, Responsible, and Respectful both inside and outside the classroom. We also continued to embrace the mindset of continuous improvement—understanding that growth comes from trying our best, learning from mistakes, and striving each day to become a little better than the day before.

This year also reflected the strength of our Montera community. From classroom activities and performances to family events, field trips, celebrations, and everyday moments of support, it truly took all of us working together to help our students thrive. As we close this chapter and look ahead to the 2026–2027 school year, I encourage our students to continue believing in themselves, work hard, show kindness, and  get a little bit better than before. Whether you are promoting to the next grade level, transitioning to a new school, or returning to Montera next year, remember that you will always be part of the Montera family.

Thank you again for an incredible school year, and to the entire Montera School Community, have a safe, restful, and joyful summer!

With much gratitude,

Mr. Rudy A. Sandoval
Principal, Montera Elementary School
